Viakon initiated operations in 1956 with a total of 35 people dedicated to the manufacturing of construction cable.

In less than a decade, Viakon expanded its line of products, becoming the first in Mexico to develop cables with elastomeric vulcanized insulations, for both low and high voltage.

From that moment on Viakon has achieved consistent growth and today employs more than 2,000 employees.

Viakon has modern manufacturing facilities in Mexico; one located in Monterrey, N.L. and another located in San Luis Potosí, S.L.P., combining a total production area of more than 32 acres.
